Eye Candy: What are the best looking games on the Xbox 360?
Whether you want to share it with your friends or just want to experience it yourself, I have decided to compile a list of the best looking Xbox 360 games. Keep in mind of course that this website is about high-defininition, so the eye candy is all in HD. I have not played every game out there, but in my opinion, the following are the best looking games, and I will get more specific and say which sections or parts are the best too! Keep in mind, all game screenshots have a SUPER HUGE version when you click on them. Without further ado:
The Best Looking Games for the Xbox 360 – High Definition (In no particular order):
- King Kong, Peter Jackson’s – When King Kong fight the T-rex, not only is it absolutly stunning in HD, but the graphics are great and the sound is so immersive. This goes down in my book as one of the most immersive gaming experiences ever. Because the sound is amazing, while the video was shocking, and the gameplay at that point was also just perfect! Although the game was good, this particular scene was absolutely one of the best ever!
- Need For Speed: Most Wanted – If you own this game, great! If you don’t, go buy it, or wait for Carbon, but at least rent it! If you play 1 player drag racing mode, and turn your surround sound up to 11, the feeling of racing is freakishly real! The visuals are amazing in the first person drag racing (espeacially when it is raining) and the sound will literally cause your pulse to race! Just try it… I’m sure you will agree.
- Fight Night Round 3 – Ever since E3 of 2005 when this game was announced for the PS3 (oddly enough) there was major anticipation, because everyone saw the character models and the amazing phisics going in the game. When I got the game, I popped it in and I was amazed… by far the most impressive character models I have ever seen on a video game system! Especially when you make a knockdown punch and the game does a reply, and you see those high def ripples fly through the face of your opponent. It looks closer to real than any video game ever before. And please do let the ugly girls that hold the round signs distract you from the beauty of the game.
- Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII – Some people might be wondering why this game is on the list. Especially because it was released for the xbox, and ps2 and then the 360. I agree, it seems like the 360 was an after thought, but there are a couple of gorgeous gameplay experiences. There is a point in the game when I was flying in Paris when it hit me, how great the scenery was. It was to scale, realistic, clean, and visible for miles. Other parts of the game or not near as gorgeous, but Paris, unlike its real-life counter part, is just amazing.

Well, that is my opinion for now… I also own a lot of sports games, and although beautiful in high definition, they are not worthy yet, of going on this HD list. I will post another article thiss week about the WORST looking games on the Xbo 360, so get ready for that.
